I'm an attorney, researcher/writer, and debate coach.

I want to make it easier for people to do good things: the law should work better and for more people.

I hold a JD from Duke Law, where I co-directed the telephonic legal aid program, providing free legal advice to hundreds of clients on matters like unlawful evictions and unfair debt collection. Before law school, I worked for years in the Texas Legislature as a tax policy specialist.
